Pastor Dale I. Gregoriew, 70, of Fairview, TX died on Feb 4, 2011. Dale was born May 4, 1940 in Corning, NY, son of Afonosy and Mora (Leavenworth) Gregoriew. Dale enjoyed his relationship with children so much and had a motto, “laughter is all.” He was ordained in 1966 and served St. Luke Lutheran Church, Gilbertsville, PA until 1969; Our Lord’s Lutheran Church, Oklahoma City, OK until 1976; First Lutheran Church, Topeka, KS until 1989; Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, Allen TX until retirement in 2005. Pastor Dale graduated from Corning Free Academy, Corning, NY – 1958; Drew University, Madison, NJ –BA, 1962; Hamma/Trinity Lutheran Seminary –Th.M 1965; Princeton Seminary –M.Div, 1966; Phillips University-D.Min, 1973. He was a Paul Harris Fellow member of the Allen Rotary Club, Chaplain for the Allen Police Dept, Counsel of Churches, active on many boards and committees in the community and nationally. Dale is survived by his wife Mary (Cannon) Gregoriew of 45 yrs; his daughter Lisa (Gregoriew) Stout, McKinney, TX and husband Bret Stout and their children Brittany and MAC; his son J.P. Gregoriew, McKinney, TX and wife Kelley (Bronk) Gregoriew, and their daughter Kylie Gregoriew. Viewing will be 6 pm with funeral service at 7 pm followed by a reception in the parish hall Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 821 Greenville Ave. Allen, TX. Interment will be Wednesday at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, TX at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Pastor Dale Gregoriew Memorial Scholarship Fund at The American National Bank of TX, PO Box 43, Allen, TX 75002.
