Daisy Jane Johnson Wilson McColley was born June 6, 1926 in Whitewright, Texas to Willie Riley Johnson and Ella May Magers Johnson. She married John McColley on March 25, 1966. Daisy passed away on October 10, 2009 at the Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman surrounded by her children. Daisy loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. She loved to garden, raising flowers and plants. She loved cats and animals. When Daisy was in her 20s she played baseball on the Whitewright Ladie's Baseball team playing other area Ladie's baseball teams. Most recently Daisy was a resident of the Katy House in Denison where she love to play Bingo. The residents of the Katy House have become her second family for the last 7 years. She is survived by daughter, Jan Scanlon and husband Jerry of Whitewright; son, Randy Wilson and wife Carol of Whitewright; step-son, Jack McColley and wife Mary; step-son, Gary McColley and wife Wilda; grandchildren, Justin and Mack Wilson; Chris, Sean, and Kara Craig; step-grandchildren, John and Jenny McColley; Ashley, Jeff and Brian McColley; several great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Ingram of Whiterwight. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, A.E. Johnson; and step-grandson Timmy McColley. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Whitewright. Officiating the service will be Rev. Houston Garner. Pallbearers will be Justin Wilson, Mack Wilson, Chris Craig, Sean Craig, Randy Wilson, Jerry Scanlon. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Monday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 1:30pm until service time on Tuesday.
