Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Robinson

Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Robinson of Allen, Texas passed away on Valentine’s Day 2014 at the age of 66.  She was born August 26, 1947 to Roy J. Showalter and Dorothy Jean (Watson) Showalter in Hobbs, New Mexico. Cindy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She modeled unconditional love and kindness, always seeing positive in every person and situation. She manifested her love for books, reading and children through her life’s work as a children’s librarian.  She was passionate about her faith, family and friends and never said no to an adventure. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be greatly missed by all that had the honor of knowing her. 

Cindy is survived by her husband Billy J. Robinson of Allen, Texas; daughter, Kristine Kay Robinson of Austin, Texas; sons, John Gabriel Robinson and wife Mimi of Zurich, Switzerland and Garrett Lee Robinson and wife Kari of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Austin Vinh Robinson and Lincoln Long Robinson; sister, Debbie Jean Powers and husband, John of The Woodlands, Texas; nephew, Mason Powers and niece, Marin Slanina. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jean Showalter. 

A memorial service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Allen, 601 S. Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas 75002 with Rev. Todd Harris and Rev. June Franck officiating.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013.
