Craig Joseph Crovetto, age 84, of Fairview, Texas, formerly of Richardson, Texas, passed away January 22, 2016. Craig was born October 9, 1931, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Alvin Joseph and Enola Cecelia (Weaver) Crovetto. He married Frances De Laughter on September 23, 1957, in Hahnville, Louisiana. Craig graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans with honors and earned a bachelor degree in business from Tulane University. He was employed with Gulf Oil for 26 1/2 years retiring in 1985 as a regional credit manager. Craig was a member of the National Association of Credit and Financial Business Management at Stanford University and a past president of Southwest Petroleum Credit Association. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Plano.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Crovetto of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Cathy Riccardi and husband, Richard, also of Fairview; grandchildren, Donnie Bowling of Denton, Texas, Summer Otey of Richardson, Texas, Julia Riccardi and Madeleine Riccardi both of Plano, Texas; great- grandchild, Harper Ryan Otey; son-in-law, Don Bowling of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Fran Bowling, and sister, Fabienne Lousteau.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Entombment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.
