Constancia “Connie” Cervantes, age 74, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 20, 2009. She was born on March 11, 1935 to Rito and Librada (Esquida) Cervantes in McAllen, Texas. Connie was a devout Catholic; she was strong, intelligent, beautiful, and had a big heart. She was a determined woman who had a passion for life and held a strong devotion for her son, grandsons and great granddaughter. Family and friends meant everything to Connie. She also loved dancing, listening to music and especially her dog, Princess. She is survived by her son, Joseph Ralph Sanchez and wife Joni; brother, Ricardo Cervantes and wife Angelita; grandsons, Eric Sanchez and Joseph Sanchez; Eric’s mother, Micki Saba; great granddaughter, Reyna Sanchez; companion, Javier Franco and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Father Cruz. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 24, 2009 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas, with Father Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
