Colton Lynn “Coco” Taylor, age 12, of Whitewright, Texas passed away May 19, 2004, at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. He was born November 12, 1991, in McKinney, Texas. Colton was a 6th grader at Trenton Middle School, where he received several honors and awards. He played North Texas Peewee Football for the Whitewright Tigers for the last 2 years. Colton was an artist, who loved to play golf, bowl, play games and sing. He attended White Rock Baptist Church in Melissa, Texas. He is survived by mother and stepfather, Suzanne and Billy Ward of Whitewright; father and stepmother, Ronald and Brenda Taylor of Anna, Texas; brothers, Chris Taylor of Anna and Waylon Ward of McKinney; sisters, Tasha Jones and husband, Daniel of McKinney, Natasha Brown and husband, Kenny of Denison, and Jessica Obier of Anna; grandparents, Charles and Edith Roberts of McKinney, Brenda Jenkins of Winnsboro, Texas, Jimmy and Suzette Jenkins of Yentis, Texas, Roger and Kathy Taylor of Texarkana, Pat and Jack Weatherford of Anna, and Alice and Janet Ward of Caddo Mills, Texas; great-grandparent, Hester Darland of Celina, Texas; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Lynn and Gary Randall of McKinney and Johnny and Tammy Stover of Blue Ridge, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
