C.O. "Chigger" Webster

C.O. “Chigger” Webster of Dallas, Texas passed away May 21, 2017, at the age of 93.  He was born August 24, 1923, to Thomas William Webster and Lillie Ida (Bourland) Webster in Weston, Texas.  Chigger served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII in the 740th Tank Battalion.  He married Venelle “Nell” (Elliott) on September 10, 1971, in Rockwall, Texas.  Chigger owned and operated his own gas station in Celina, Texas for forty years.

He is survived by his children, Nancy Baxter of McKinney, Texas and Ray Webster of Dallas, Texas; step-children, Greta (Elliott) Kelly of Celina, Texas and Kent Elliott and wife Donna of Prosper, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Tucker of Austin, Texas; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Chigger was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Webster, children, Kay Alexander and Benny Porter, great-grandson, Dusty Spradley, parents, Thomas William and Lillie Ida Webster, two sisters, and one brother.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
