IN LOVING MEMORY

Clifford George Potter

Feb 22 1929 - Dec 24 2006

We are graced and honored to have been loved by a great man, husband, father, and grandfather, Clifford George Potter, who passed from this Earth on Sunday, December 24, 2006. A recent resident of Plano, Texas, he was born on February 22, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Paul and Ann Potter. He was active in the U.S. Air Force, and later became an auto body repair man who was known in the Chicago area for his outstanding customized car restorations, and paint jobs. His passions in life were first and foremost his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding and tinkering on his numerous motorcycles and boats. Cliff always enjoyed auto racing as well. Whether it was NASCAR, drag racing or the Indy 500, Cliff always kept up to date on the drivers and their machines. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita C. Potter, his children Paul and Wendy Potter Hawthorne, Tom and Lynda Potter, Bill and Jo Ann Potter Gasikowski, and Alan and Deborah Potter; and his grandchildren Renee, Scott, Lauren, Jon, Stephanie, Philip, Catherine, Cliff, and Abbey. He was preceded by his parents and his brother (in-law), Ralph Hoopmann. He spent the last fourteen months at Victoria Gardens of Allen after experiencing a catastrophic stroke. It is at this time that we, his family, want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and care he received by the staff and Doctor of VGA. Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel Hwy 75 at Exit 38 McKinney, TX. Visitation with the family will follow the service at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
