Former resident of Marion, Ohio, Cleora Taylor, 95, of McKinney, Texas passed away at her home January 11, 2013 after a fall on New Year’s Day. She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on August 10, 1917 to Andrew B. Fauzey and Francis Cecilia Rensel Fauzey. She was married to Harry H. Taylor for 50 years. He preceded her in death in Cape Coral, Florida. Cleora graduated from New Castle High School, where she played basketball. While living in Marion, Ohio she was a very competitive golfer.
She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Haley of McKinney, Texas, Judith O’Hara also of McKinney, Texas and Kay Merritt of Branson West, Missouri. She is survived by her eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Rick Coburn officiating.
Interment will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, Florida at a later date.
