Funeral services for Claudie Lee Combs Jeanes, 99 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Monday January 26, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Leonard, Texas. Rev. Denny Gorena will officiate. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Chillicothe Cemetery at Chillicothe, Texas. Family visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday January 25th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Jeanes was born February 11, 1909 at Springtown, Texas. Her parents were Clarence Hill and Lillie Mae Kendrick Combs. She married Lancelot Ollie Jeans December 20, 1925 at Chillicothe, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard, Texas. She is survived by a son: Naith Hilton (Sonny) Jeanes of Leonard, Texas; Daughters: Jeannette Lehman of Garland, Texas and Dorothy Williams of Plano, Texas; a sister: Vyneta Clarene Smith of Leonard, Texas. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
