Rev. Claude A. Parkhill, age 91 of Lucas, TX, passed away December 20, 2004. He was born on October 1, 1913 in Palestine, TX to Arthur Cleon and Jessie Belle (Black) Parkhill. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. On October 26, 1934, he married Jamie Justine Marlar in Little Rock, AR. Rev. Parkhill was a minister for 60 years and was recently a member of Lucas Christian Church. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Hancock and her husband, John of Medford, OR, Judy Bethke and her husband, Bob of Lucas, TX, and Becky Chevalier and her husband, John of Santa Rosa, CA; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Raymond Parkhill of North Little Rock, AR; and sister, Grace Houck of Borger, TX. His wife, parents, one sister, and one brother precede him in death. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, AR with Rev. Bob Bethke officiating. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow will be in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gospel Lit. Intl. 2940 Inland Empire Blvd. Suite 101, Ontario, CA 91764-4898, in memory of Pastor Parkhill.
