Clark “Bob” Hanks Gilley, Jr., age 77 of Dallas, Texas passed away on April 27, 2015 in Dallas with his family by his side. He was born on August 9, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to Clark Hanks and Berta (King) Gilley.

Bob graduated from Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma. He attended University of Oklahoma from where he played football for the sooners when they won three National Championships in 1955-57. Bob continued his education at Texas Christian University where he received a degree in Marketing. While at TCU he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and President of the Marketing Club. Later Bob went back to get his PHD in International Management at University of Texas, Dallas

After Graduating TCU, Bob entered Navy Officer Candidate School and spent 4 years in Yokosuka, Japan as an engineering officer on the USS Washoe County Ship. Upon returning to Texas, Bob began a long career in the computer industry working for IBM, Calelus Memories, Telex Corporation, ITT Courier, Intel and then at Inrange Technology before he retired in 2011.

Although he lived most of his life in Texas, Bob never wavered in his love for the Sooners. He spent many Saturdays going to games in Norman or watching them on TV. He threw huge OU Texas parties and grilled BBQ for a week before the event. He loved traveling, spending time with family, watching Fox News. He loved all 4 of his Wheaton Terriers. Bob was also a big supporter of various Veterans Organizations.

Bob is remembered with love by his wife, Madelyn Gilley of Dallas, Texas; Children, Kristine Barnhill and husband, Marc of Houston, Texas, Robert Gilley of Dallas, Texas, Colleen Rosenthal and husband, David of Chicago, Illinois, Timothy Liddy and wife, Jennifer of Rancho Mirage, California, Dennis Liddy and wife, Bridget of Austin, Texas, Sharon Kilgore and husband, Colin of Santa Barbara, California, Sean Liddy and wife, Megan of Trophy Club, Texas; grandchildren, Hayley Barnhill, Tate Barnhill, Bennett Barnhill, Jack Rosenthal, Timothy Liddy, Madelyn Liddy, McClain Liddy, Brogan Liddy, Kate Liddy, Jones Liddy, Jude Liddy and Liam Liddy; sister, Catherine Hayes, sister-in-law Evelyn and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Berta Gilley and his brothers Donald and Gordon Gilley and brother–in-law, Barnell Hayes.
