Clarence Howard Griffin, Jr., 95, of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2015 in Sherman, Texas. He was born June 15, 1920, in Westminster, Texas, to Clarence Howard and Ola Mullins Griffin. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Leona (Tommie) Mae Hayes on December 3, 1939 in Pike, Texas. She preceded C. H. in death on July 7, 2015. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville and also a member of the Farmersville Masonic Lodge. He worked at the Farmersville Grain and also at May Furniture. Mr. Griffin is survived by brother: Bobby Griffin and wife Trena of Blue Ridge, Texas. He was preceded in death by wife: Leona (Tommie) Mae Griffin; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 in the chapel of Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home. Burial will be in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville. Rev. Bart Barber will officiate. Betty Frazier will provide the music.
