IN LOVING MEMORY

Cindy Darlene Mott

Mar 12 1963 - May 11 2015

Cindy Darlene Mott of McKinney, Texas passed away May 11, 2015, at the age of 52. She was born on March 12, 1963, to David and Judy Dodd at Baylor Medical Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Cindy met her husband, Sterling Mott, in the singles class while attending Audelia Road Baptist Church. They married on October 26th 1991, and three years later had their first child. Cindy had a love for learning and a creative mind and spirit, so it was no surprise when she chose to become a home school mom. As a creative person, Cindy took education to a whole new level by sewing outfits for her kids to wear while studying historical figures and events. She and fellow home school moms often put on craft shows in the backyard with our kids and theirs to teach how people lived and survived during certain time periods. Cindy loved to read stories to her children and do many arts and crafts with them. Field trips, plays, music, and much more were always part of her teaching style. She adored her children and provided them a loving home to grow and learn in. She was an active leader in her daughter’s Brownies club and then later started a local American Heritage Girl program. She taught Vacation Bible School and helped teach at local home school co-op groups. Her external beauty was no match to that of her internal beauty. Cindy’s faith in Jesus Christ was always evident. Even through all her physical trials, she demonstrated a deep relationship and faith in Christ and was an amazing example of His love to her husband, children, family and friends.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Sterling Lance Mott of McKinney, Texas; son and his wife, Joshua and Darby Mott of Oak Harbor, Washington; daughter, Natalie Mott of McKinney, Texas; son, Samuel Mott of McKinney, Texas; her father and his wife, David and Kathy Dodd of Antlers, Oklahoma; her mother and her husband, Judy & Bruce Danielson of Plano, Texas; sister and her husband, Terri and Gary Huston of Haslet, Texas; niece and her husband, Tabatha and Shane Gove of Fort Worth and their children MacKenzie, Brayden and Amelia; aunt, Joan Collins of Plano, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Waynon and Betty Mott of Alexandria, Louisiana and sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Tom Wiley of Lockport, Louisiana.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Ellis County off Honeysuckle Trail in Midlothian, Texas 76065. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday evening, May 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
