Christopher Newby, age 21, of Allen, Texas, was suddenly and tragically taken from us on December 17, 2007, in Mooresville, North Carolina. He was born April 10, 1986, in Bloomingdale, Illinois to Lyall and Deborah (Beck) Newby. Christopher graduated from Allen High School. He played on the Allen Eagles lacrosse team for four years under the direction of Brian Baker, Tom Rintoul and Mark Baggett. He also coached youth lacrosse in Allen. Christopher was attending advanced studies at the NASCAR Technical Institute in North Carolina where he was pursing his life long dream of becoming part of a NASCAR Team. Christopher is now reunited together again with his brother and best friend, David Ryan Beck Newby who were meant to be together, forever. He is survived by his parents, Deborah and Lyall Newby of Allen, Texas; grandparents, Joan Newby, Kenneth and Barbara Beck; uncles and aunts, Cheryl and Jon Fletcher, Kenneth and Beverly Beck, George and Judith Newby; cousins, Sean Newby, Samantha Newby, Julia Beck, Adam Beck, Scott Beck, Kevin Beck, Kayla Beck and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Jim Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
