Christine Cobb Richardson, 90, of Leonard, Texas passed away on Monday September 16, 2013 at the Sandy Lake Rehabilitation Center at Coppell, Texas with her daughter at her bedside. Christine was born January 27, 1923 to the parents of Josey Lee Caskey Cobb and Walton Paley Cobb. Except for a few months, she had lived her entire life in Leonard. She graduated from Leonard High School.

Christine married Wayne Richardson in March of 1941. Together they had two children, Bill Richardson and Fran Richardson. After Christine reared her children and cared for her aging parents, she decided to go back to school in the late seventies. She graduated from East Texas State University at Commerce Texas, with honors, receiving a Social Science degree. She began working at the Trenton SNAP Center as Director, where she worked over thirty years. She devoted 100% of her love, energy and hard work to all who attended the center. There will be a Remembrance Gathering at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard Thursday September 19, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her daughter, Fran Richardson of Coppell, daughter-in-law, Anita Richardson of Whitewright, grandsons, Vernon and wife Vicki Richardson of Wolfe City, David Richardson of Whitewright, and granddaughter-in-law, Stephanie Richardson of Sherman. Great Grandchildren include Zeke Richardson of Lubbock, Bailey Richardson of Whitewright, Brian and Ainsleigh Richardson of Sherman and Caleb Richardson of Leonard. Christine had a passion for gardening and her little dog, Lucky. Her yard was her pride and joy and she was rewarded for all her hard work. It was always a beautiful site and she loved to share it with anyone who had the time to look. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to: Sheree’s Dog Rescue at 820 Wooded Creek Lane at McKinney, Texas 75071.
