Christine “Crandma” Martin, age 54, of Melissa, Texas, passed away April 22, 2013, in Melissa. Christine was born October 4, 1958, in Ithaca, New York, to Albert Edwin Redman and Vernalee Chase. She was a financial analyst in the medical field.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Martin of Howe, Texas and Michelle Hockett and husband, Jimmy of Greenville, Texas; fiancé, Jeff Spencer of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Zackary Martin, Kaci Hockett, Ryen Hockett, and Alex Martin Sanders; father, Al Redman and wife, Barb of New York; mother, Vernalee “Bunny” Adams and husband, Tom of Pennsylvania; brothers, Edwin Redman and wife, Kathryn of Garland, Texas, Dale Redman of Tennessee, Robin Redman of Florida, and Mark Redman and Kelly Coggins of North Carolina; sister, Carol Mormino and Michael George of Princeton, Texas; mother-in-law, Dannie Martin of Allen, Texas; and extended family, Gary Spencer and wife, Betty, Jason Spencer, and Nicole Bowers, all of Van Alstyne, Texas, Lee and Janna Cobb of Missouri and David and Susan Head of Allen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
