IN LOVING MEMORY

Christin Michael Travaille

Sep 03 1978 - Feb 06 2013

Christin Michael Travaille was called to his eternal home with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 6, 2013. Attributes that all will remember from his life were his love and compassion for others. His gifts of encouragement and support to all who knew him will forever live in the hearts of all he knew. Every life that was touched by Chris came away spiritually and emotionally strengthened. It was impossible to spend time with Chris without coming away renewed in faith, and focused in purpose. He lived out, from his heart, the love for others--always placing their needs above his own.   Born September 3, 1978, in Wichita, Kansas.   Chris’ life was enriched by the many friends he made as he moved where “God had determined the bounds of his habitation”. He never met a stranger, but looked forward with excitement to each move--living in Bellevue, WA; Colorado Springs, CO; Niwat, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Issaquah, WA; Kirkland, WA; Frisco, TX; and Baltimore, MD. Like a missionary, Chris left behind a string of friends with whom he shared his love of Christ Jesus, many of whom would not have sought out a church or minister for help. Chris had a great love for friends and family members who were struggling with various issues.   The challenges he faced in life instilled a great sense of empathy for others and he never hesitated to lend a listening ear or provide advice that stemmed from his vast personal experience. His technical knowledge and steady calm in the face of danger placed Chris in awe of those closest to him. There was no problem that he could not figure out in moments. He never turned away anyone who asked for help, whether it took a moment or years to work through. Chris loved the outdoors; camping under the stars, enjoying God’s wonders of nature; and he often shared this experience with others, helping them see the beauty of God’s creation. Cycling was his love, sharing the challenge of mountain biking, or just enjoying a brisk ride through city streets, he always ensured no one was left behind, even when it placed at risk his chances of winning a race, he would stop to lift a fallen companion, and still come in first. Christin is survived by his mother and dad, Michelle and Terry Milholland; grandparents, Bill and Sue Atkinson; Aunts and Uncles: Sheri and Randy Peck, Michael and Kahla Atkinson, Arthur Milholland and Luann Mostello, Gail and Kameel Farag, Kathy and Don Hunter, Barbara Gregory and Mark Plante; Cousins: Heidi and Tom Romenius, Brent and Jennifer Peck, Liam Peck, Tanner Peck, Kasey Peck, Padraic Atkinson, Carson Atkinson, Kelsey Sanchez, Connor Atkinson, Grace Farag, Abeth Farag, Sue and Dave Bartow, Kameel and Julia Farag, Erich, Shannon and Maila Farag, Tim Farag, Daniel Plante and Michael Plante. Chris would also want us to recognize Mark Erickson, Emily Sosa, Anita Beatty, Amanda Willson, Vicky Ku, BJ Hayes, Olive Preston and Bailey Lozner for the special and extraordinary love he shared with them. They are truly part of the family. We are aware there must be many more people who established a strong bond with Chris and wish to apologize for not naming you here. You & Chris know the love you shared and you will always have those memories of him to cherish. To all who knew and loved our beloved Christin, we, his family leave this message: “Jesus said… I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” John 11:25-26. You are greatly missed our precious love, we look forward to the day when we will see you again. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.nami.org. An open memorial service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, in Frisco, Texas.
