Christene Hamilton, age 92, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2010, in McKinney, Texas. Christene was born February 12, 1918, in Farmersville, Texas, to Grover and Mattie Elizabeth (Watson) Cullum. She married Loyd Samuel Hamilton on July 29, 1933, in Durant, Oklahoma. Christene was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all those she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Terrye Turpin and husband Philip of Princeton, Texas; sons, Charles Hamilton and wife Jackie of Garland, Texas, Alton Hamilton and wife Loretta of Bridgeport, Texas; sisters, Judy Bass of Princeton, Texas, Leola Goforth of McKinney, Texas; brother, Lon Cullum of Athens, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Hamilton, her parents, son, Ronnie Loyd Hamilton, and daughters, Velda Jenkins, Pat Cunningham and Janis Louise Hamilton Capps. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to graveside services at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
