IN LOVING MEMORY

Cherilyn Sue Roberts

Jul 08 1953 - Apr 28 2014

Cherilyn Sue Roberts, age 60, of Plano, Texas, went to be with The Lord April 28, 2014, in Plano, TX.  Cheri was born July 8, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Jimy Harold and Harla Mae (Wooley) Roberts.  She was employed with VITAS Hospice as a social worker for over 10 years and was able to lovingly touch many lives during that time.  She was awarded Social Worker of the year and had a powerful way to comfort families in their time of grief.  She received a masters degree from the University Of Texas in Arlington with high honors.  Cheri was a voracious reader that loved traveling and has been to every continent with the exception of Antarctica, which was coined "The One that Got Away".  One of Cheri's greatest passions was time spent with her grandchildren, family and friends.  She wanted to make her time on earth count and had a way to make everyone feel special.  She had an optimistic "can-do" attitude where she would look "outside of the box" to achieve her goals in life.

She is survived by her daughter, Cammie Booth and her husband, Timothy L. Booth; grandchildren, Brittany Echols and husband, Kyle, Ava Booth and Anna Booth, great-grandsons, Reese Riggs and Jude Echols; father, Jimy Roberts and wife, Suellen; and brothers, Ricky Roberts and David Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her beautiful mother, Harla Roberts in 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Reverend Timothy L. Booth officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
