Chen Zhang, of Plano, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2013 at the age of 77. She was born on September 25, 1935, in Shanghai, China, to Song Tao and Yu Quing (Liu) Zhang. In 1958, Chen married Wenxuan Deng in Shanghai, China. She graduated from Beijing Normal University; and was a teacher for thirty years at #6th High School, Nanjing, China.
She is survived by her husband, Wenxuan Deng of Plano, Texas; children, Jack Deng and wife Amy Yuan of Plano, Texas, J.D. Deng and husband David Gao of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ricky Deng, Winona Deng, Raynell Gao, and Claire Gao; brothers, Ting Sang Cheung and Martin Cheung, both of Hong Kong.
Chen is preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday May 11, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, beginning at 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
