Charlotte Faye Crutcher Reed, age 67, of McKinney, Texas passed away August 22, 2010. She was born May 27, 1943 in McKinney, Texas to Joe L. Crutcher and Nell (Gilbert) Crutcher. On April 9, 1976 she married Pat Reed in Dallas, Texas. Charlotte graduated from McKinney High School in 1961. She retired from the Collin County Tax office. She was a former registrar at McKinney High School. Charlotte enjoyed playing cards and was an avid reader. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, McKinney, Texas. Charlotte maintained a great attitude and hoped to “win out” her lengthy fight against cancer. She is survived by her husband, Pat Reed of McKinney, Texas; son, Dennis Hood and wife, Shannon of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Darby Hood; sisters, Janie Crutcher and Dianne Crutcher; brothers, J.S. Crutcher, P.D. Crutcher, Don Crutcher and Charles Ray Crutcher; aunt, Ruth Hayes and numerous other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Nell Crutcher; sisters, Jocie Nell Crutcher, Geraldine Crutcher and Lou Evelyn Crutcher; brothers, Raymond Crutcher, Bob Crutcher, Tommy Joe Crutcher and Dickie Crutcher. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas with Rev. Don Andrews officiating.
