Charles Wortham, 74 of Whitewright, Texas, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rodney Stanford and Rev. Doyle Henderson. Charles Wortham was born November 14, 1934 at Bells, Texas to Ed Wortham and Helen Dawson Wortham. He married Ann Brown on September 16, 1955 at Whitewright, Texas. He was a long time employee of General Cable in Bonham and for the last few years had been working part-time at Hubbard Hardware in Whitewright. He had been attending First United Methodist Church in Whitewright. He is survived by son, Gary Wortham and wife Kim of Ambrose; son, Jeff Wortham of Ambrose; daughter, Diane Neel of Whitewright; grandsons, Gary Lyn Wortham and Clay Neel of Whitewright; granddaughters, Mindee Mata and husband Rafe of Waco; Mandee Wilkinson and husband Daniel of Hurst; Cassie Neel of Whitewright; great-grandchildren, Andon, Isabella and Alyee Mata, and Haylee Ann Wilkinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Brown Wortham; parents, Ed and Helen Wortham; and sister, Dean Littrell. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 20, 2008 from 5-7pm at the Earnheart Chapel in Whitewright, Texas.
