Charles Borden Teer, age 81, of Dallas, Texas, passed away October 9, 2014 at his home. Charles was born December 13, 1932, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Grady and Flora (Marchant) Teer. He married Olga on May 29, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas. Charles grew up in Birmingham and graduated from SMU in 1961 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He worked as a forensic chemist for the DEA for many years. Charles proudly served in the National Guard and was a radio operator in the United States Air Force. He loved listening to classical music, enjoyed photography, and working in the yard. Most of all, Charles loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Olga Teer; children, Martha Evelyn Teer of Richardson, Texas, Charles Frederick Teer and wife, Elizabeth of Grapevine, Texas, Louise Anne Avery of Alexandria, Virginia, and Michelle Elise Andelman and husband, David of Allen, Texas; six grandchildren; brothers, Harry Teer of Olympia, Washington, Frederick “Freddy” Teer of San Jose, California, and Ross Teer of Hawaii; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
