Charles R. "Pete" Rodgers

Mr. Charles R. “Pete” Rodgers, age 74, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 22, 2008, in McKinney. He was born July 23, 1933, in Woodburn, Iowa to Earl and Zella Pearl (Walker) Rodgers. On September 5, 1953, he married Kathryn C. Reynolds in Osceola, Iowa. Mr. Rodgers was an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer in Woodburn for 38 years and a School Bus Driver for Clarke Community School in Osceola, Iowa. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #212 and the Order of Eastern Star #342 both in Woodburn, Iowa. He was also a member of the Prosper United Methodist Church in Prosper, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn C. Rodgers of McKinney; daughter Pamela Keenan and husband, Tom of Argyle, Texas; sons, Mike Rodgers and wife, Kim of Frisco, Texas and Phil Rodgers and wife, Nicki of Aubrey, Texas; grandchildren, Trey, Katy, Caelan Keenan of Argyle, Alyssa and Josie Rodgers of Frisco and Cody, Zachory and Alexys Rodgers of Aubrey; sisters, Jean Box and Fran Lowe both of Chariton, Iowa and Hermoline Dixson of Des Moines, Iowa; brother, Don Rodgers and wife, Nan of Loveland, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Zella Rodgers; brother, Howard Rodgers; and sisters, Lillie Springer and Minnie Carder. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Mr. Rodgers will lie in repose on Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
