Charles Alexander “Sandy” Robinson, age 47, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 3, 2014 owing to complications following heart valve replacement surgery. He was born October 27, 1966, in Fort Myers, Florida, to David Gunning and Mary Alice Robinson. On July 22, 1989, Charles married Kimberley Ann Hayes in Fort Worth, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Mississippi State University, and his Master’s Degree in Business from Texas Christian University; he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Charles began his professional life as an engineer with General Dynamics and subsequently held several sales and marketing positions in the technology sector. Most recently he was a Senior Account Executive with Adobe Systems. Charles was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in McKinney and was the leader of the men’s prayer group. He served on the Board of Directors for Volunteer McKinney and McKinney Young Life.
Charles’ life is celebrated by his loving family: wife, Kimberley A. Robinson of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Megan H. Robinson and her fiancé Drew McConnell of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Michael David Robinson of Houston, Texas; father, David G. Robinson and his wife Sue of Fort Myers, Florida; mother, Mary Robinson and husband Richard Lenholt of Fort Myers, Florida; sisters, Missy Miller and husband Tod of Kennesaw, Georgia, Amy Warden and husband Robert of Fort Myers, Florida; several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Known as “Uncle Cha-Cha,” Charles lived a humble life, serving the Lord in all he did.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at Hope Fellowship Church, 1702 W University Drive, McKinney, Texas.
