Charles Eugene “Red” Jenkins of Garland, Texas passed away January 23, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born June 4, 1931 in Sherman, Texas to Ella Voyce (Roberts) Jenkins and Emmitt Leslie Jenkins. Charles was a graduate of Boyd High School in McKinney. It was there he met his high school sweetheart, Marjorie L. Tyler. They later married on August 27, 1950 in McKinney, Texas. Charles served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Kraft Foods in Garland for over forty years.   After his retirement from Kraft Foods, he worked for Barrett Motors in Rowlett for twenty years. He especially loved being a greeter and usher in his church. One of his greatest joys was going to Colorado every summer. Charles took his children and grandchildren to Colorado every year, and loved that they enjoyed it as much as he did.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Marjorie of Garland, Texas; son, Michael Jenkins of Garland, Texas; daughter, Carrie Boyd and husband Mike of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Wiley of Garland, Texas, Lance Wiley of Rockwall, Texas, and Brooke Wiley of Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughter, Presley Wiley; brother, Dwain Jenkins and wife Martha of Mesquite, Texas; nephews, Kevin Jenkins and Barry Jenkins.
