Mr. Charles McPeek, age 81, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 9, 2007, in McKinney. He was born February 3, 1925, in Gilmer, Texas to Willie Virgil and Bessie Lucille (Lang) McPeek. On August 1, 1948, he married Sarah Jo Hill in Gilmer. Mr. McPeek served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Beall’s Department Store in McKinney, where he was a manager for many years. He was a member of Community North Baptist Church in McKinney. He is survived by his wife, Jo McPeek of McKinney; daughter, Vicki Wheatley and husband, Lindy of McKinney and Rhonda Robertson of Wylie, Texas; son, Dwayne McPeek and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Angela Kruebbe, Jeff Wheatley, Josh Crawford and Celina Smith; 9 great grandchildren; and brothers, Bobby McPeek and wife, Pat of Gilmer and Maurice McPeek and wife, Karen of Lucas, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007, at the Community North Baptist Church in McKinney with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.
