Mrs. Charlene Evans, age 74, of McKinney, Texas passed away August 20, 2006, in McKinney. She was born May 21, 1932, in Idabel, Oklahoma to Henry and Niner M. (Cox) Snider. On August 17, 1950, she married Alvin Evans in Idabel, Oklahoma. Mrs. Evans worked for Fisher Controls and was of the Church of Christ faith. She is survived by her brother, Glennon Snider of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Roger Parrish of McKinney, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Connie Evans of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Stacy Hickman and her husband John, Jamie Rippy and her husband Robert, Misty Morgan and her husband Sean all of McKinney, Shane Evans and his wife Jackie of Melissa, and Rachel Evans of Blue Ridge; great grandchildren, Nikki Morgan of McKinney, Karsyn Evans of Melissa and Evan Evans of McKinney; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Alvin A. Evans; 2 sisters and 3 brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Tony Linton officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
