Cecil Paul Garrett, Jr., age 46, of Allen, Texas passed away October 10, 2009. He was born January 9, 1963 in Winters, Texas to Cecil Paul Garrett, Sr. and Jo Laura (Byrd) Garrett. Cecil attended McKinney High School where he was a running back on the 1979 Texas State 3-A Championship Football Team. He is survived by his daughters, Shanta Garrett of Plano, Texas and Latoya Garrett of McKinney, Texas; son, Cecil DeQuan Garrett of McKinney, Texas; grandchild, Deontae Evans, brother, Calvin Garrett of Allen, Texas; grandmother, Laberta Price; step-sisters, Mefarold Wilson of McKinney, Texas and Juametta Terrell of McKinney, Texas; girl friend, Frances Rodrigues of McKinney, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Paul Garrett, Sr.; mother, Jo Laura Garrett and sister, Jennifer Ann Garrett. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Bubba Mack officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
