Mrs. Cathy Ringel, age 78, of McKinney, Texas went home to be with her Lord on November 19, 2010. She was born August 17, 1932, in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania to Joseph Kissel and Jennie Jereb. On July 21, 1951, she married Rudolph Phillip Ringel, Sr. in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ringel was a certified occupational therapy assistant. She was an active member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney. She loved to sew and had an eye for bringing items and colors together to create a beautiful image in a room and wardrobe. She had her own sewing business in Harmony, Pennsylvania called “Cathy’s Country Sewing Room”, where she provided sewing instruction and sold her unique creations, including wedding dresses and veils. She also enjoyed cooking memorable homemade meals for her family. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Phillip Ringel, Sr. of McKinney; daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine M. and Gregory Clark of McKinney, Diane R. and Ned Diehl of Allen, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Rudolph P. and Lisa Ringel of Highland Village, Texas; granddaughters, Megan Marie Clark-Fernandez and husband, Josh of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Amanda Kate Ringel of Ft. Worth, Texas; great grandson, Joseph Clark-Fernandez also of Virginia Beach; and brother, Jack Kissel and wife, Michele of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ringel was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jennie Kissel; and grandparents, Catarina and John Jereb. A mass of Christian burial will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in McKinney. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. A rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, the family will receive guest from 6:00-9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to St. Gabriel Catholic Community Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.
