Cathy Kuhn, age 54, of Lucas, Texas, passed away September 4, 2015. She was born on November 11, 1960 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Joseph Thomas Buck, Jr. and Sadie Ray (Vickers) Buck. On November 12, 1994, Cathy married Phillip Werner Kuhn in Blue Ash, Ohio. She grew up in Fairfax, Virginia and was a 1982 graduate of James Madison University where she earned her degree in business administration.
Cathy was an amazing mom and her best work was done raising two bright, independent, loving, strong, faith-filled young women. She also worked at Baxter Health Care and Sycamore Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio as a well as a non-profit support for the elderly in Boston, Massachusetts. Cathy was a member of Creekwood United Methodist Church Ladies Bible Study and attended Bible Study Fellowship in Allen, Texas on Wednesday mornings. She supported the Collin County SPCA, The Lovejoy High School Band, various club volleyball teams and the Lovejoy High School PTSA.
Her heart was full of love for the Lord and she studied and did her devotionals each day with care and openness to the word of her Savior. Cathy loved her dogs with a passion. She blessed each of us with a vivacious laugh, a willingness to serve others at any opportunity and a heart bigger than the state of Texas. Cathy was blessed with a huge network of people calling her friend- too many to mention here by name! Over the years, Cathy served as a loyal mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister and neighbor- she would drop anything at any time to help those who needed her. Missing her will go on for many years, but her lessons and legacy will last forever.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Kuhn of Lucas, Texas; daughters, Samantha Spivey of Rochester, New York and Rachel Kuhn of Lucas, Texas; parents, Joe and Sadie Buck of Orange City, Florida; sister, Ellen Monaghan of Alexandria, Virginia; brothers, Ed Buck of Roanoke, Virginia, Joe Buck of Orman Beach, Florida and Homan Khorrami of McLean, Virginia; mother-in-law, Reni Kuhn of Beaforr, South Carolina.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Creekwood United Methodist Church, 261 Country Club Rd, Fairview, Texas. The family will receive friends after the service.
