IN LOVING MEMORY

Catherine "Cassie" Scarbrough

Aug 26 1941 - Jun 19 2017

Catherine Scarbrough was a wife, mother, grandmother, successful realtor, passionate dancer, lover of books, avid golfer and world traveler.  “Cassie”, as she was affectionately known, left us after a courageous battle with cancer.  Cassie was a generous, strong, independent woman and she lived out her life till the very end; long beyond a time many people might have given up.

Cassie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved with her wonderful family to Plano in 1977 where she began a very successful real estate career.  Cassie’s outgoing personality and strong work ethic enabled her to touch the lives of many people in a meaningful way as she helped them make their own dreams come true.

After 20+ years of working in the Plano area Cassie and her late husband, Jack, realized their dream of living on Lake Texoma.  At Lake Texoma Jack and Cassie enjoyed the company of their family and the many friends they made over the years.  During this time Cassie enjoyed the many passions in her life and saw all her children get married, grandchildren come into the world, grow up, and start their own families.

Cassie leaves us with a host of memories and the world will be less exciting without her in it.

She is survived by her son, John T. Scarbrough, his wife Tracey, their son, Miles, their daughter Courtney and son-in-law, Colin.  Her daughter, Jill St. Romain, Jill’s husband, Joe St. Romain and their children:  Jean-Paul, Jack, and Bailey St. Romain; Luke St. Romain and daughter-in-law, Kalee. Her son, Jeff Scarbrough and his wife, Logan, along with their children, Jack, Holden, and Carver. Her sister, Barbara Dellecave and brother-in-law, Tony.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, John T. “Jack” Scarbrough, her father and mother, Harry and Kathryn Kitson.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 24th at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
