IN LOVING MEMORY

Carson Thomas Richardson

Jan 20 2003 - Feb 27 2010

Our angel Carson Thomas Richardson, age 7, of McKinney, Texas, went home to be with his Savior Jesus Christ February 27, 2010. Carson was born January 20, 2003 in Irving, Texas, to Paul Ryan Richardson and Kimberly Nickell Richardson. Carson adored learning and attended Boon Elementary in Allen, Texas, as a first grader in Mrs. Nancy VandenBerge's class. Carson was full of joy and loved life and always supported his family with amazing words of encouragement. Carson befriended everyone and had a contagious smile that would light up a room. Carson loved the Lord and was an inspiration spiritually to those who knew him. Carson loved sports and played Upward basketball at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. He played on the Diamondbacks and the Rangers Red baseball teams. Tennis was also a favorite of Carson's as he seemed to be a natural. Carson was an amazing artist and enjoyed playing the piano and taking song requests from family and friends. Carson also loved to collect stuffed animals, rocks, shells, Kooky pens, and of course his beads of courage. Carson loved to travel and served as the family travel planner. He is survived by his parents, Ryan and Kimberly Richardson of McKinney, Texas; his big brother, Collin "Bubbie" Richardson; his grandparents, George Richardson of Denver, Colorado, Peggy Parrish and husband, Lindell of Cypress, Texas, Betty Edgar and husband, Charles of Breckenridge, Texas, and Sandra Nickell of Bells, Texas; aunts and uncles, George "Uncle Rico" Richardson, and wife, Jennifer of Cypress, Texas, John Parrish and wife, Joanna of Great Falls, Montana, Keely Nickell of Breckenridge, Texas, and David Parrish and wife, Monica of Round Rock, Texas; numerous cousins; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robby Nickell and great grandmother Velma Nickell. The family would like to give a special thank you to Carson's wonderful doctors and nurses at Medical City Dallas as well as his amazing surgeon at the University of North Carolina who all took such perfect care of Carson and never left any stone unturned through his battle. There are no words to express the family's appreciation and gratitude for the prayers and support from many family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, 1015 State Hwy. 121, Allen, Texas, 75013. A graveside service will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday evening, March 3 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to the Hepatoblastoma Foundation through CureSearch at www.hepatoblastomafoundation.org.
