IN LOVING MEMORY

Carolyn Fay Wright

May 20 1944 - Dec 11 2015

Carolyn Fay Wright, 71, of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2015 in McKinney, Texas. This beautiful soul was born May 20, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina to Samuel Edward and Madge Robbins Birdsong.

She married Milton Wright on May 6, 1977 in Plano, Texas. Carolyn worked hard and put herself through school graduating from The University of Texas at Dallas. She was a hardworking, dedicated Accountant for Rockwell International. She enjoyed being a member of Farmersville Quilt and other Quilt Guilds as this was a favorite hobby. She was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Farmersville.

Carolyn is survived by the love of her life, husband: Milton Wright of Farmersville, Texas; loving daughters: Karen (Shelly) Michelle Sourber and husband Doug of Farmersville, Texas, Sheila Foster of Farmersville, Texas, and devoted son: Charles Mitchell Peddicord and wife Trina of Clarksville, Tennessee; sisters: Olivia Alice Martin and husband Steve of Westminster, Maryland and Linda G. Birdsong of Baltimore, Maryland; brother: Dennis Birdsong and wife Emma of Baltimore, Maryland. Her joy was her 11 grandchildren (Brett, Tyler, Garrett, Jessica, Dylan, Faith, Julia, Anna, Stephen, Ryan and Katie) and 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia & Ava. Countless people called her Mom and all children knew her as Granny. She embraced every one of them as her own. Even stray dogs knew her home was a refuge. She truly made a joyful noise in this world.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother: David Birdsong and her parents.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas. Rev. Bart Barber and Rev. Denny Burris will officiate. Following the memorial service, there will be a visitation at the church and all are welcome as this was her way.
