Carolyn Redd Terrell, age 68, of Garland, Texas, passed away October 22, 2012, in Garland. Carolyn was born February 27, 1944, in McKinney, Texas, to Wysong and Mildred Redd. She married Jerry Terrell in February of 1971, in Dallas, Texas. Carolyn loved having her family around her. She also loved watching Gunsmoke on television. Carolyn was a kind person who loved to help people.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Terrell of Garland, Texas; daughter, Tina Shirley and husband, Brad of Lewisville, Texas; sons, Alan Terrell and wife, Kerri of Garland, Texas and Jimmy Terrell, also of Garland; grandsons, Christopher Crossley and Brent Terrell, both of Garland, Texas; granddaughter, Brandi Holcomb of Garland, Texas; brother, Ricky Redd and wife, Robbie of McKinney, Texas; sister, Jo Redd of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wysong Redd, mother, Mildred Sarver, and sister, Barbara Magers.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
