Carolyn Clark

Carolyn Clark, age 83, passed away March 19, 2017 in Plano, Texas.  Carolyn was born July 9, 1933, in Lubbock, Texas, to Richard Bland Dennis and Alvetta (Hickerson) Dennis.  She graduated from Lampasas High School and Hardin Simmons University and entered the workforce for the Humble Oil Company.  In 1955 Carolyn married M.A. Clark and moved to Lubbock and later moved to Houston raising two children. She was active in Willow Meadows Baptist Church, local PTA associations, piano instruction, and local community events.  Carolyn re-entered the workforce as the human resources manager for Peek PLC, DBA as Polysonics and retired in 1995. 

After Carolyn and M.A. retired, they moved to Frisco, Texas to build a house of their dreams and became active members of the local community by working in local elections and hosting block parties.  Carolyn was a doting and involved grandmother to her four grandchildren.   

She is survived by children, Kay Thomas and husband Gary of Garland; Tal Clark and wife Robyn of Brighton, Colorado; grandchildren, Brandon Thomas and wife Candice of San Antonio; Megan Thomas of Dallas; Austin Clark of Denver, Colorado; and Kendra Clark of Brighton, Colorado; sister-in-law, Charlene Dennis; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by M.A. Clark after 50 years of marriage.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Carolyn Clark’s name to either Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, www.tsrhc.org or the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
