Carol Moberly, age 63, of Scurry, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2012, in Sunnyvale, Texas. Carol was born April 13, 1948, in Richmond, Virginia, to William Spencer and Margaret (Ford) Sage. She was a lover of animals; she rode and gave horseback riding lessons, and showed dogs. Carol loved to garden and cook. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her son.
She is survived by her son, John Moberly and wife Mandy of The Colony, Texas; mother, Margaret Sage of Richmond, Virginia; sisters, Peggy Covert and husband Calvin of Powhatan, Virginia, Linda Greene and husband Mike of Roanoke, Virginia; nieces, Wendy Plumb and husband William of Powhatan, Virginia and Jenny Greene of Roanoke, Virginia; nephew, Joe Greene of Roanoke, Virginia; a host of other loving family and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, James Moberly and father, William Spencer Sage.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, Allen, Texas.
