Carol Jean Fleetwood, age 69, of Plano, Texas passed away July 7, 2009. She was born October 14, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Clarence Loring and Jean Marion (Fuches) Eldridge. On May 11, 1957 Carol married Roy Howard Fleetwood in College Station, Texas. Carol was a devout child of God. She loved her dogs immensely. Her kindness, generosity and humor were legendary. Her presence would light up a room and her laugh was infectious. Carol was a devoted grandmother, mother and friend. She was selfless, loved freely and openly. She was deeply loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Jana Harrison of Plano, Texas; sons, Richard Alan Fleetwood and wife Annie of Riverton, Wyoming, Charles Howard Fleetwood and wife, Chong of Navarre, Florida; granddaughters, Stacy J. Long of Plano, Texas, Laurie M. Fleetwood of Riverton, Wyoming, Caroline K. Fleetwood, Kimberly J. Fleetwood, and Jennifer E. Fleetwood all of Navarre, Florida; grandsons, James M. Long of Omaha, Nebraska, Howard K. Fleetwood of Nashville, Tennessee, and Robert A. Fleetwood of Rawlins, Wyoming as well as six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Loring Eldridge and Jean Mitchell; husband, Roy Howard and son, Robert James. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
