Carol Ann Alexander was born on January 13, 1950 to Leon Alexander and the late LeeAnna Brown Alexander in Dallas, TX. After a courageous battle with cancer, Carol passed away peacefully at home in Garland, Texas.

Carol grew up in a loving family and accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park. She attended Hamilton Park School and graduated in 1968 (Dallas, Texas). Carol furthered her education at Texas Women’s University (Denton, Texas) receiving both undergraduate & graduate degrees in 1972 & 1973. She began her career at Dallas Independent School District as a 6th grade school teacher at William Brown Miller Elementary School for 32 years and made lifelong impressions upon many students.

Though Carol did not have any children of her own, she was a mother figure to many. Carol touched the lives of many people with her smile, generosity and maintained her privacy and courage all the way to the end.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, LeeAnna Alexander, great nephew, Darius Mayberry, sisters Linda Alexander Harris & Cheryl Alexander Barnes, and niece Lynn Alexander.

Carol will forever be remembered by her devoted father, Leon Alexander, brother, Leon Alexander Jr., niece Sandra Harris, great-nephews, Phillip, Jay, Michael and Tye; great-niece, Chassity; four great-great nephews, one great-great niece and a host of other cousins, neighbors, extended family and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, 300 E. Phillips St., Richardson, Texas 75081.  Interment will follow at Restland of Dallas, 9220 Restland Rd., Dallas, Texas 75243.  The family will receive friends during a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
