Carl Robert Thonen, Jr., known by many as “Bob,” age, 71 of Carrollton, Texas passed away on January 9, 2013 at his home. He was born on March 17, 1941 in Wheeling, West Virginia and was the son of the late Carl Robert and Katherine Ann (Dorsch) Thonen. Bob was proceeded in death by his sister Jean Thonen Nickel.
Bob worked as a commercial salesman in the heating and air conditioning industry for over 50 years and was the former owner of Wheeling Heating Company.
Bob is survived by his son, Todd Thonen and wife, Kathleen of Frisco, TX; daughter, Holly Golden and husband, Drew of Alpharetta, GA; daughter, Paige Hahn and husband, Doug of Mason, OH; five grandchildren, Rebekah Carter and husband, Wade, Jacob Thonen, Katie Golden, Collin Golden, and Paul Hahn; great-granddaughter, Faith Carter; niece, Kathy Nickel McFadden of Murrysville, PA; nephew, Nicky Nickel of Murrysville, PA; brother-in-law, Ernst W. Nickel of Murrysville, PA and the mother of his children, Linda Peterson, of Wheeling, WV.
Services will be held at a future date in Wheeling, WV and at such time Bob will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
