Candace Nicole Burkett, age 34, of Garland, Texas passed away July 9, 2011. She was born April 17, 1977 in Dallas, Texas to Richard H. Shearin II and Teri W. (Wilson) Shearin. Candace grew up in the Dallas area, where she graduated from Mesquite Poteet High School in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Candace loved singing and listening to music. She is survived by her father, Richard Shearin and his wife, Hillari of Frisco, Texas; mother, Teri Shearin; children, Alexis Burkett, Bailey Burkett and Weston Dodd; brothers, Chris Shearin and wife, Dana, Justin Shearin and wife, Brandi; nephew, Payton Shearin; niece, Reagan Shearin and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
