C. George Plumlee, age77, of Plano, Texas, passed away on November 7, 2011, in Plano, Texas. He was born March 10, 1934, in Springdale, Arkansas, to George K. and Sarah (Horn) Plumlee. On June 21, 1958, George married Alice Uhing, in Hooper, Nebraska. He worked for Texas Instruments for twenty years. George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, where he was a radio repairman, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Sumners and husband Jonathan of Lucas, Texas and Linda Hemminghaus and husband Jeff of Warrenton, Missouri; son, Ken Plumlee of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica McKittrick, Justin Box, Samantha Sumners, Casie Sumners, and Sean Sumners; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Travon, Zane, and Autumn. George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Plumlee; brothers, Bill Plumlee and Donald Plumlee; and sister, Maxine Fowler. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday evening, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.
