Bruce Ferrell Gentry, age 88, of McKinney, Texas passed away November 24, 2008. He was born July 6, 1920 in Lockesburg, Arkansas to James and Lilly Gentry. On April 7, 1950 he married Jestine Carver in Malvern, Arkansas. Bruce proudly served in the Army Air Corps. He was an electrical engineer for Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama. Bruce helped in the development of The Saturn V Rocket for the first lunar landing. He is survived by his wife, Jestine of McKinney, Texas; children, Joan Mobley and husband, Tom of Princeton, Texas, Bobbie Smith and husband, John of Alamogordo, New Mexico; sister, Leota Harwood and husband, Norman of Texarkana, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tiffany Rhodes and husband, Michael of Anna, Texas, Tommy Mobley, Jr. and wife, Paula of Sachse, Texas and Robert Andrews; great-grandchildren, Mikey Olvera, Jordan Rhodes, Tristen Rhodes, Hannah Mobley, Ryan Mobley, Lyshea Wertz-Andrews, Marques Andrews and Shyla Ann Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Juanita Goff and her husband, Jerry. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church of McKinney with Rev. John Blacklock officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
