Mr. Bruce Leroy Adams, age 81 of Plano, Texas passed away on December 4, 2005 in Plano. He was born on January 15, 1924 in Ashland, Kentucky to Charles and Anna (Kitchens) Adams. He married Hyosun Suh on December 6, 1962 in Belton, Texas. Mr. Adams served and retired for the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II, The Korean Conflict and 3 tours of Vietnam. He received the World War II Victory Medal, Award of Merit for Services in Germany, U.S. Army Commendation Medal x 2 with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, United Nations Service Medal, Courage in Battle Award x 3, Presidential Unit Citation for Service to The Republic of Korea, EIB Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars given for 3 tours in Vietnam, Air Medal for Service in Vietnam, Courage in Battle Awards, Bronze Star Medal with Valor x 2, Civil Actions Medal First Class, Silver Star Medal x 3 with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Medal, U.S. Army Letters of Commendation, Expert Marksman and Sharpshooter Citations, and The Purple Heart. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Sunny Adams of Plano, Texas; son, John Adams of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Janet Briscoe and husband, Bill of Plano, Texas; and grandchildren, Lisa and Laurie Briscoe both of Plano, Texas. His parents preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
