Brooke Angelle Johnson

Jun 20 1990 - Jul 04 2012

Brooke Angelle Johnson, age 22, of Terrytown, LA, currently residing in Frisco, Texas was taken from those who loved her far too soon by a tragic accident on July 4, 2012 in Frisco. She was born on June 20, 1990 in Marrero, Louisiana. Brooke is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Rachel (Morgan) Johnson; sister/best friend Kelsey Johnson, brother Dylan Johnson, step-sister Blair Johnson and niece Abagyl Washington who she adored. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Margaret and the late Edward Morgan of Terrytown, Louisiana; paternal grandparents, Worley and the late Brenda Johnson of French Settlement, Louisiana; aunts and uncles: John and Marie Corley, Timothy Corley, Tony and Debbie Corley and Brent and Christy Johnson, along with numerous cousins.

Brooke was born and raised in Terrytown, LA. She attended St. Cletus Catholic School (Gretna, LA), Holy Name of Mary Catholic School (Algiers, LA), John Curtis Christian School (River Ridge, LA) and Graduated from Liberty High School (Frisco, TX) Class of 2009. Brooke was pursuing her dream to become a forensic scientist and had just been awarded a 2 year academic scholarship to The University of North Texas. She carried a 3.9 GPA through her undergraduate studies and didn’t intend to lose focus on her goals until she achieved her PhD.

Brooke had grown into a wonderful, kind, soul and would help anyone who needed it. She was an avid animal lover and volunteered at Youth First Dallas, a local organization that helped gay and lesbian youth.

No matter what degree Brooke attained, where she lived, or how old she was, Brooke was and always will be her Mom’s Angel Baby, her Daddy’s Brooke Pie and her Gammy’s Suga Booga.

The family will be holding a Catholic Memorial Service Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at St. Cletus Catholic Church, Gretna, LA from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with a Mass following.
