Mr. Brewer Monroe Wright, age 91, of McKinney, Texas, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away July 29, 2010, at his home. He was born May 30, 1919, in Vernon, Texas, to William Brewer and Gertrude (Box) Wright. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. On December 14, 1974, he married Sara Grier Bradford in Richardson, Texas. Mr. Wright was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a manager of the Hunt and Trail Drive-In Theaters in Greenville, Texas. He was also a farmer, and a car salesman in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Sara Wright of McKinney, Texas; children, Mary Patricia Oldham of Pittsburgh, Texas, Glenda Frazier of Pottsboro, Texas, Gary Wright of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Laura Hooper of McKinney; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Frances Beazley Wright. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010, at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell, Texas with Pastor Joseph Whitner officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
