Brendon Elmo Markey, Jr., age 57, of Seagoville, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2011. He was born January 1, 1954, to Brendon Elmo Markey, Sr. and Bobbie N. (Williams) Markey. He attended schools in Plano, Texas and graduated from Williams High School, where he played football. Brendon married Monica Raymond, in Mesquite, Texas, on May 18, 1993. Brendon was a truck driver for Sears & Roebuck for twenty years, and most recently worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts before he retired. Brendon loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by his wife, Monica Markey of Seagoville, Texas; mother, Bobbie Markey of Parker, Texas; daughter, Brittani Nevarez and husband Jose of Wylie, Texas; stepchildren, Tina Mares and husband Rudy of Rockwall, Texas and Tony Raymond and wife Shannon of Rockwall, Texas; and five grandchildren. Brendon is preceded in death by his father, and two brothers, Robert and Paul Markey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, officiating by Fred Bacon. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening, from at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow.
