Brenda Lynn Smith Witt, age 55, recently of Celeste, TX and previously of Gunter, TX went to be with her heavenly Father on July 27, 2015.
Raised in Plano, TX, the daughter of Orville and Betty Smith, she is a family treasure loved by many and will always be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, humor and love of family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Orville D. Smith, in 1975. She is survived by her mother Betty Goodson Smith of Gunter, TX, daughter and son-in-law Jacinda and Travis Hinkley of Gunter, TX, son Jarod Smith of Amarillo, TX, and, son and daughter-in-law Steven and Brandi Witt of Paris, TX. She has four beautiful grandchildren whom she adored Alyssa Hinkley, Addison Hinkley, Kayla Witt and Kyler Witt.
She is also survived by sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Richard Hampton of Garland, TX, sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Craig Yansky of Gunter, TX, and brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Lisa Smith of Little Elm, TX. Nieces and nephews Devin Smith of Little Elm, TX, Joel and Cristina Smith of Waterford, MI, Aaron and and Kristin Hampton of Dallas, TX, Jordan Hampton and fiance
Morgan Casper of Garland, TX, Nicholas Yansky and Nathan Yansky of Gunter, TX. Uncle and Aunt Neal and Jimmie Goodson of Tigertown, TX. She also has four great nephews.
Brenda's family wishes to express our sincerest appreciation to her life long friend and loving companion, Johnny Hecks of Celeste, TX. You will forever be in our hearts and a part of our family.
Visitation will be held at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Gunter on Thursday, July 30th from 6:30 – 8:30PM. A graveside service will be held for close friends and family members at 11:00AM on Friday, July 31, 2015.
