Funeral services for Bonnie Jean Newman Johnson, 62 year old Whitewright resident, are scheduled for 10 A.M. Monday June 13, 2011 at the Ida Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Morris will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Family visitation will be Sunday June 12, 2011 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Whitewright. Mrs. Johnson was born February 8, 1949 at Sanford, Michigan. Her parents were Archie Lee and Belva Zepherine Beech Newman. She married Marvin Wayne Johnson October 25, 1975 at Greenville, Texas. She was a high school graduate and a member of the Ida Baptist Church. She passed away Thursday June 9, 2011 at Texas Health Presbyterian Center-WNJ at Sherman. She is survived by her husband: Marvin Wayne Johnson of Whitewright; her daughters: Velma Johnson of San Antonio, Candy Prezas of Corpus Christi and Sandy McCauley of Azle; her son: Lonnie Johnson of Whitewright; her sister: Jewel Leos of Midland, Michigan; her 3 grandchildren: Victoria Alaniz of Corpus Christi, Craig McCauley of Azle and Joseph Prezas of Corpus Christi; her great grandson: Joshua Perez of Corpus Christi; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Eldon Newman and a sister: Jane Iverson.
